HOTELS Holiday Spirit: Traditions and new surprises

The Rittenhouse in Philadelphia is celebrating the holiday season with a unique spin on popular traditions. Through December, guests can enjoy guests can enjoy gingerbread replicas of Betsy Ross’ house and the Philadelphia Art Museum.

For younger guests, the Teddy Bear Tea gives children the opportunity to bring their treasured teddies for a leisurely afternoon tea service featuring sweet and savory petit fours and delicious teddy bear cookies in the hotel’s Mary Cassatt Tea Room. Guests will be greeted with a special beverage – sparkling wine for adults and cider for kids. Following sweet and savory tea courses, children can decorate their own gingerbread men with the hotel’s pastry team. Kids will also receive a gingerbread man with ingredients to bring home in addition to a complimentary teddy bear

In addition to the hotel’s gingerbread display and Teddy Bear Tea, Lacroix at The Rittenhouse will offer 4- and 8-course dinner menus on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well as a Christmas Day brunch.
