Meliá Bahamas strike: Members of the Bahamas Hotel Catering and Allied Working Union have voted in favor of a strike against the Meliá Nassau Beach Resort over a gratuity dispute.

Manchester’s Park Inn sold: The Park Inn by Radisson in Manchester city centre was been sold to The Ability Group for an undisclosed sum. It had been up for sale with an asking price of £20 million (US$33.3 million).

Hotel de Paris to renovate: Owners at the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo have announced that the historic property is preparing to undergo a major refurbishment scheduled to be complete in 2018. More than 4,000 lots of items from the hotel will be sold in Monaco from January 25 to 28.

R Hotels secures loan: R Hotels, the hospitality division of R Holding, has obtained Dh204 million (US$55.5 million) from Commercial Bank of Dubai for the development of its upcoming project at Palm Jumeirah. The loan will for R Hotels’ Dh500 million (US$136.1 million) hotel investment at The Palm that is scheduled to open in 2016.

Rockbridge and TPG partnership: Rockbridge and TPG Hospitality announced a joint venture to develop and operate the AC Hotel in San Jose, California. The hotel is projected to open in the spring and include 210 guestroos, bar and louge, fitness center and meeting space.
