Skift reports that newly formed Proper Hospitality has launched lifestyle hospitality brand Proper Hotels. The first hotels will open at the end of 2015 in San Francisco and in Austin, Texas, in 2017.
Proper Hospitality was founded by Brad Korzen, Brian De Lowe and Alex Samek. Korzen is the founder and former CEO of Viceroy Hotels.
“Our well-traveled, well-educated, creative-minded customers grew up with the wave of boutique hotels, and now they’re looking for something high-end,” De Lowe told Skift. “We want to give them a culturally rich experience, but at the same time, we don’t want to compromise on some of the things that once made the grand hotels of the world so great.”
