Meliá offers travel agent training

Meliá Hotels International has introduced MeliáPro-Training, a software program designed to help travel agents learn about the Meliá brand.

The tool provides a multimedia learning library with information about the company’s seven brands and corresponding properties. The software also offers tips on how to improve sales and how to select the best Meliá hotel for a client.

“Professionals in the sector should know our hotels, brands and attributes better than anyone else, and providing them access to this information quickly and attractively is our responsibility,” said Gabriel Escarrer, deputy chairman and CEO of Meliá. “That is why we have developed MeliáPro-Training.”

“This program will enable Meliá Hotels International to further its relationship with one of our most important business segment, travel agents, whose work is dictated by demanding customers who expect a more personalized and sophisticated service,” added Jose María Dalmau, deputy chairman of business development of Meliá.

Travel agents who use Meliá’s new training software can also enter the “Super Suitcase” contest, which will award seven winners with a week-long vacation at a Meliá hotel.
