Starwood strengthens Dubai portfolio: Starwood Hotels & Resorts announced an agreemend with wasl hosptiality and leisure to debut the Aloft and Element brands in Dubai. The Aloft Dubai Raffa and Element Dubai Radda will open in 2018.

Kimpton to manage Shorebreak Hotel: Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants was awarded the management contract for the Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach, California. The Shorebreak officially joined the Kimpton after the property was acquired by DiamondRock Hospitality, who selected Kimpton as the new hotel operator. This is the first addition to Kimpton’s portfolio since its acquisition by IHG.
Interstate expands in Europe: Interstate Hotels & Resorts signed the 69-room Ramada Hotel Portrush Northern Ireland and the 115-room Holiday Inn Express Stockport.

IHG signs in Manchester IHG signed the 210-room Crowne Plaza and the 116-room Staybridge Suites in Manchester, UK. Both properties will operate under a franchis agreement with existing owner partner M&L Hospitality and will be managed by Cycas Hospitality.
Hilton signs in Florida: Hilton Worldwide has signed an agreement to build an Embassy Suites in St. Augustine Beach, Florida. The 180-suite hotel is expected to open in 2017.

Marriott sells Chapel Hill Courtyard: Noble Investment Group acquired the Courtyard by Marriott Chapel Hill in North Carolina. The 169-room hotel will undergo several enhancements as part of the acquisition.
Ashford sells assets: Ashford Hospitality Trust has contributed or sold 16 assets to Ashford Select for US$321 million. The assets are held under Marriott International flags.
