Hot Openings: Hyatt unveils all-inclusive Mexican property

Resort design today requires a certain amount of drama to go with the relaxing vibe getaways are known for. White palettes are getting punched up with vibrant reds and golden tones. Focal points are higher-impact than ever.

For the 335-suite Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, owned and managed by Playa Hotels & Resorts, the team knew they’d have to go with that dramatic view of resort chic. That statement is written clearly the minute guests walk into the lobby. Giant teardrop-shaped pieces suspended from the ceiling add an instant “wow,” as does another outsize art object, reminiscent of the region’s fishing boats, that dominates the floor space. Basket weave patterns on the headboards continue that same vibe in the guestrooms.

“We are delighted to celebrate the arrival of Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta to this idyllic Mexican destination with the local community and our resort owners,” said Carlos Cabrera, senior vice president of all inclusive operations for Hyatt. “It is an exciting time as we are increasing the Hyatt Ziva brand portfolio with world-class resorts, while continuing to show Hyatt’s meaningful brand growth in Mexico. We look forward to welcoming guests to Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta and providing them with unrivaled service, dining options and amenities as they enjoy sun, surf and relaxation.”
