Embassy Suites focuses on families

In an effort to improve the brand’s family-travel experience, Embassy Suites Hotels has launched its new #PrettyGreat Family Travel Hacks community. The program incorporates family-specific training in its employee-orientation program and ongoing team-member training sessions.

Training includes problem/resolution-based scenario training and how-to videos featuring ways to make the guest experience better for families. Embassy Suites is also encouraging its team members to share their demonstrated best practices around the family guest experience on its internal site.

“Embassy Suites has long provided a great experience to traveling families,” said John Rogers, global head of Embassy Suites. “We hope this family-specific focus to our training will empower our team members to provide families with the best guest experience possible.”

In addition to training, Embassy Suites is adding a variety of new family-focused amenities, including cocktail napkins with family-friendly games like tic-tac-toe, Sudoku and word search; baby- and child-specific “do not disturb” signs; and coloring books with crayons. The brand is also planning a pilot program to offer baby-care amenities, including such as baby wash and wipes, at select properties this summer.
