U Hotel coming to Chiang Mai: The U Hotels & Resorts property will open in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in 2016. The 140-room hotel will include a restaurant, terrace bar, library, spa, swimming pool and gym.

Hilton grows in Mexico: Hilton Worldwide signed a management agreement with Grupo Aldo Promotora de Inversion SAPI de CV to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Salamanca, Mexico. The new-build hotel is scheduled to open in 2016.

 


DoubleTree properties join Historic Hotels of America: Five DoubleTree by Hilton hotels joined the Historic Hotels of America organization. The hotels include: Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center – a DoubleTree by Hilton, St. Louis Union Station – a DoubleTree by Hilton, DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Detroit Downtown, The Emily Morgan San Antonio – a DoubleTree by Hiltonm and The Tudor Arms Cleveland – a DoubleTree by Hilton.

Chesapeake Hospitality adds properties: Chesapeake Hospitality added three properties to its management portfolio: Holiday Inn Wilkes Barre-East Mountain in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania; Days Inn Harrisburg North in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and Fenwick Inn in Ocean City, Maryland.
