What’s Hot: Paris hotel celebrates fashion focus

No place is as intimately associated with the world of high fashion as Paris. From couture houses to its notoriously chic denizens, style is part of the city’s DNA. It’s no surprise, then, that Didier Gomez’s vision for the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg renovation started with those ateliers. The 147-key hotel uses color and texture to make a statement reminiscent of the workmanship and creativity of a haute couture ensemble.

The lobby’s focal points are chandeliers and ornate mirrors that echo the glitz of fashion. Striking photographs in the guestrooms add an editorial touch. Elegant materials like silks and velvets finish off the statement. The hotel also offers Stay Paris Le Faubourg, a new culinary concept from Yannick Alléno.

“We are brimming with excitement with the launch of this new address in the heart of Paris. Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg is filled with expressions of the utmost elegance, reminiscent of the greatest haute couture houses located on the nearby Rue de Faubourg St. Honoré,” said Rick Harvey Lam, senior vice president, global marketing, communications and partnerships, luxury and upscale brands, for Accor. “We couldn’t have selected two better artists than Didier Gomez and Yannick Alléno to join forces with us to bring our vision to life.”
