Ascott secures global management contracts: The Ascott Limited has signed contracts to manage its first Citadines Apart’hotels in Vietnam, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. The Citadines Regency Saigon and Citadines Waterfront Kota Kinabalu are slated to open in 2018 while the Citadines Vulture Village Dubai is scheduled to open in 2017.

Destination adds Richmond hotel: Destination Hotels & Resorts added the soon-to-be-open Quirk Hotel in Richmond, Virginia, to its urban collection. The hotel will be managed by Destination and will undergo a transformation in keeping with the company’s hotel flag.

Iberostar partners with RCI: Iberostar Group selected RCI as its vacation exchange provider. Through this affiliation with RCI, Iberostar The Club members can now access the exchange company’s global portfolio of nearly 4,500 affiliate resorts in more than 100 countries.

TripAdvisor launches Apple Watch app: TripAdvisor launched its Apple Watch app, providing users access to TripAdvisor traveler reviews, ratings, hotel photos, walking directions and more. The app is now available in the App Store.

Provenance and NBP Capital acquire interest in Mayflower Park: Mayflower Hotel Owner, an affiliate of Provenance Hotels and NBP Capital, has acquired the fee simple interest in the Mayflower Park Hotel in Seattle from Temple De Hirsch Sinai. The hotel has been operated and managed since 1974 by Birney and Marie Dempcy who have a lease on the property that ends in 2025. At that time, Mayflower Hotel Owner will assume control of the hotel and Provenance Hotels will manage daily operations.

 


Kimpton partners with Sacramento Kings: The Sacramento Kings and JMA Ventures have partnered with Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants for a proposed hotel adjacent to the Entertainment and Sports Center in Sacramento. This will be the first Kimpton-branded property in the Sacramento region.
