Holiday Inn Resort to debut in Fiji: IHG signed a management agreement with Avoser to open the first Holiday Inn Resort in Fiji. The 173-room resort is scheduled to open in 2018.
Lux expands on Reunion Island: Lux Hospitality signed two management contracts on Reunion Island with Asian Prosperous Holding. Under the agreements, Lux will manage a new 5-star property in St. Philippe and Hotel Le Récif.
Google tweaks hotel search: Google recently added filters — including price, rating and hotel class — within its three-pack-style ads. The goal is to eliminate the need for consumers to navigate elsewhere for their hotel searches.
Booking.com to launch BookingSuite: Booking.com will create BookingSuite, a new website for small hotel owners. The website will have no upfront cost, and hotels will pay a 10% commission to Booking.com for any reservation made through the site.
