What’s Hot: LA hotel unveils renovated guestrooms

Elegance and opulence are the twin buzzwords for design in many projects, especially in Los Anegeles. Designers are constantly finding new ways to say “chic” in a city that’s iconic for being just that. The redux of the guestrooms and suites at the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City at Beverly Hills (part of a multi-million renovation due for completion in 2016) gave The Design Studio a chance to put their own spin on Beverly Hills cool.

A palette with greens and lavenders is an unexpected backdrop. Columnar crystal lamps offer a modern update on conventional Hollywood glam. Wood tones bring in a rich note.

This phase of the renovation also includes the addition of four new suites. A new Elite Honeymoon Suite takes the design to a streamlined offering. Leather and metal in contemporary shapes create a crisp aesthetic.

“We are so excited to unveil the hotel’s redesign and look forward to showcasing our upgraded rooms and suites to our loyal visitors and new guests in this new year,” said Steve Cho, general manager at the hotel. “Los Angeles is a competitive luxury hotel market, and we are confident our new design helps ensure that our hotel is at the top of the list for the discerning traveler.”
