What’s Hot: Paris hotel celebrates glamour

What’s old is new again — or maybe it’s just that what’s old — at least if it’s ultra-chic Parisian Directoire flair — never went out of style. The 10-year renovation of Deauville’s Hotel Royal Barrière in Nordandy, France, saw interior designer Nathalie Ryan of Kirei Studio turn that concept into reality for the property.

Ryan knew she had to add some modern flair to the hotel, but she didn’t want to shy away from celebrating the opulent cool of the 1913 building’s original styling. The extravagant drapery around the beds forms a luxurious focal point. An elegant chandelier in the Liz Taylor Deluxe Mer Club sparkles like the actress’s iconic jewels.

That modern twist came from using a simple palette of blues and grays for the Deluxe Club Mer Suites, beige tones in the Michael Douglas Suite and scarlet accents in the Chambre Classique Club rooms. Crisp shapes finish off the look.
