Hot Openings: Marriott debuts two Macau hotels

There’s a lot to be said for design where the whole is exactly equal to the sum of its parts. Having every detail perfect really does count toward making a larger “wow” design statement. That’s especially true when there’s more than one hotel in the same building or in a dual-branded development. Those little touches become crucial in differentiating the spaces.

The 1,015-key JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz-Carlton, Macau (the brand’s first all-suite property, with more than 250 suites), both located in the massive Galaxy Macau development, have an urban-chic overall vibe. However, the JW Marriott’s slightly warmer palette and more geometric detailing give it an identity that’s unique. The Ritz-Carlton uses cooler tones and more intricate patterns.

“The opening of the JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz-Carlton, Macau with their exceptional service, superb facilities and spectacular culinary experiences will add an extra dimension to Galaxy Macau, creating the ultimate destination for unlimited leisure and enjoyment. The two hotels — each with their distinct brand identities — are sure to enhance the Macau experience and will redefine the meaning of luxury in the region,” said Rauf Malik, vice president of operations, JW Marriott Hotel Macau and The Ritz-Carlton, Macau.
