Hot Openings: Wyoming hotel shows off local flair

It might be the first luxury boutique hotel to open in Jackson, Wyoming, in 15 years, but Hotel Jackson is very much a child of the 21st century. Beyond its LEED-certified status, the style here is a clean, modern take on the traditional Western vibe.

Reclaimed barn wood and leather accents ground the hotel firmly in its locale. That’s pretty typical for any resort in the Western United States, but the design team gave the whole look a fresh twist with a cooler color palette. Grays in the guestrooms add a cosmopolitan edge.

“It is our hope that Hotel Jackson, with its wonderful dining options and meetings spaces, will be a place not just for travelers, but for locals to gather as well,” said owner Jim Darwiche.
