Kimpton to manage Vermont hotel: Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants it has been selected to manage a new hotel in Manchester, Vermont. The 87-room, new-construction project — owned as a joint venture between Florida-based developer Heaton Companies, local partner Clark French and Boston financial partner Janet Jiang of First Cambridge Capital — is under construction and is slated to open this fall as The Taconic Hotel.
Swissôtel to grow in China: Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts and Nanjing Jin Gao Real Estate Development Co., a subsidiary of JiangSu Golden Land Real Estate Development, announced the development of a new hotel in Jinan, China. The 248-room Swissôtel Jinan is scheduled to debut in 2020.
