A love of perfumes, art and hospitality has brought the Martone family to transform a former perfume factory into the 5-star Hotel Magna Pars Suites Milano: the first “Hotel à Parfum.”
An almost hidden garden on the private Via Forcella in the picturesque Navigli area of Milan near the historic Porta Genova station and the lively Via Tortona, the hub of fashion and design, is now home to 39 suites and a new garden with aromas that evoke the origin of the entire structure.
The elegant, imposing glass facade, which is the distinctive exterior of the entire building, extends to embrace the new suites in a harmonious whole as originally conceived. This unique contemporary architectural project evokes a flavor from the past with post-industrial elements, original walls, exposed brick corridors and steel banisters.
White is the predominant color of the interior that is warmed by wood and by the collection of antique international books. Original artwork decorates the suites as a visual expression of their names.
Eleven new suites are inspired by the fragrant notes of fruit trees — pomegranate, peach, olive and so on. They blend with the olfactory notes of flowers and woods that characterize the 28 original suites.
In harmony with the others, each unique suite is inspired by typical traditional Italian olfactory ingredients used in the art of perfume making.
All the suites overlook the adjacent and complementary courtyard gardens that change with the passing seasons and create an atmosphere full of light, silence and tranquility that is unique in Milan.
As in an elegant Italian home, a taste for hospitality and a love of beautiful things are emphasized in the Da Noi In Restaurant with the creative contemporary food of Executive Chef Fulvio Siccardi.
LabSolue is the new Perfume Laboratory inside Magna Pars Suites Milano. This unique place celebrates and recalls the origin of the Tortona area, which has always been the home of laboratories and factories and, in this particular instance, is where the Martone family’s historic perfume factory once stood.
