What’s Hot: Hotel’s redesign celebrates California

Mosaic Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, which is part of Gemstone Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio, reopening August 1 following a full redesign.

The redesign, envisioned by London-based design firm Luxlo, celebrates California via bright colors and original design elements ranging from whimsical wallpaper to ultra-modern artwork.

Interiors embrace natural tones and materials including Mosaic’s signature sage as well as bright white, azure and dark blues. The 49 guestrooms feature distinctive low-slung, clean-lined chairs as well as luxurious linens and whimsical wall art.

After being greeted by a classic doorman in a Bowler hat, guests enter a lobby characterized by residential touches mixed with modern furnishings and artistic details including bespoke silk embroidered Fromental wallpaper with a nod to famed artist David Hockney as well as a custom weave sculpture by Renee Dinauer and original wall art by David Dauncey.
