Carlyle considers sale of European hotel group

Caryle has asked Morgan Stanley to look into the sale or stock market listing of B&B Hotel Group, according to French newspaper Les Echos.

Since 2010, Carlyle has controlled 80% of B&B Hotel Group. Montefiore Investment owns 15%, and B&B Hotel Group managers hold the remaining 5% stake.

Originally launched in the western French region of Brittany in 1990, B&B Hotel Group is now an operator of more than 300 hotels across Europe. In 2014, the group reported a business volume of €320 million (US$325.5 million).
