Interstate adds UK hotels: The U.K. division of Interstate Europe has added three hotels with the opening of Holiday Inn Express London ExCel, Hilton at The Ageas Bowl Southampton and the management of Ibis Coventry Centre.

Kata Group prepares for stock exchange listing: Kata Group Resorts will be listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand following a restructuring of the company’s business plans and finances. The listing is expected in 2017, and Kata Group will reportedly embark on a period of significant growth.

Leeu Collection acquires romantic boutique: Leeu Collection will take over Le Quartier Français in Franschhoek, South Africa. The new owners will officially take over September 1.

 


Dusit Fudu to manage new resort: Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts signed a second management agreement with Panzhihua Pulongda Real Estate Development Co. to manage a 150-room Dusit Princess Resort in Panzhihua City in the Sichuan Province of China. This will be the city’s first international resort and will open in 2016.

 

 


 

R Hotels to develop in the UAE: R Hotels will open a new 182-key hotel in the emirate of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. The total investment is AED150 million (US$40.9 million), and the property is expected to open in 2017.

Aqua expands Oahu portfolio: Aqua Hospitality has added the Ohia Waikiki in Hawaii. The 251-room hotel was formerly the Outrigger Surf East and is undergoing a US$2 million refresh.

Pacific Northwest’s largest hotel approved: R.C. Hedreen has received approval to build the largest hotel in the U.S. Pacific Northwest. The Seattle hotel will feature 1,264 guestrooms above meeting and retail space. Currently, the Seattle Sheraton is the region’s largest hotel with 1,236 guestrooms.
