What’s Hot: Milan hotel unveils suite atop the city

Palazzo Parigi, which sits on the site of the former Palazzo Cramer in Via Brera in the heart of Milan, Italy, has unveiled its Presidential Suite.

Architect and owner Paola Giambelli, in partnership with Pierre Yves Rochon, designed the 2,690-square-foot (250-square-meter) suite in the style of an intimate and comfortable luxury private apartment at the very top of Milan.

Giambelli chose vast glass windows throughout the suite’s bedroom and living room to allow guests to enjoy views of Milan throughout the day and night.

Artwork was chosen to give guests the sense of a private home. Several oil paintings adorn the walls, including “The Lions” from the German school of 1877 by Hans Schmidt and “Family Portrait,” attributed to Louis Tocquè in the 18th century.

The suite’s living room also features two sofas, antique rugs, an antique writing table, a bookcase, a 75-inch (191-centimeter) television and state-of-the-art surround sound system.

The suite’s 1,184-square-foot (110-square-meter) terrace promises unparalleled views of Milan.

“Our Presidential Suite is ideal for those seeking their home-away-from-home in Milan,” Giambelli said. “My vision was to create a luxurious accommodation combining the highest level of comfort with a unique sense of intimacy. I wanted our guests to feel immediately at home and part of the city.”
