Langham to debut in Texas: Developer Stan Thomas will construct the first Langham Hotels & Resorts property in Texas. The hotel will make up 25 floors of the 35-story US$1.6 billion Wade Park project in Dallas and is scheduled to open in early 2018.

Chatham grows Florida portfolio: Chatham Lodging Trust acquired the Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal/Il Lugano in Florida. The 105-room hotel will be managed by Island Hospitality Management.
California hotel sales hit record: Atlas Hospitality Group reported hotel sales hit a new record in California, surpassing US$4.4 billion in the first six months of 2015. The priciest hotel during the first half of this year was Grand del Mar in San Diego, which sold for US$259 million.
