Langham to debut in UAE: Langham Hotels & Resorts will introduce its first hotel in the United Arab Emirates in partnership with Dubai-based Omniyat. Langham Place Downtown Dubai is scheduled to open in 2018.

Hilton grows in Africa: Hilton Worldwide will open the first Hilton Garden Inn in Botswana in 2017. The 150-room hotel will be the brand’s 13th African property.

Kohler comes to Titletown: Kohler Co. will build and manage Lodge Kohler in Green Bay, Wisconsin’s Titletown district. The hotel will include 150 guestrooms, a panoramic rooftop restaurant and bar, indoor/outdoor pool, spa and fitness center.

AHIP acquires Railway Portfolio: American Hotel Income Properties REIT will purchase a portfolio of five strategic railway hotels for an aggregate purchase price of US$44.775 million. The “Railway Portfolio” includes a 160-room hotel in Belen, New Mexico; a 156-room hotel in Gillette, Wyoming; a 118-room hotel in Ravenna, Nebraska; a 96-room hotel in Guernsey, Wyoming; and a 56-room hotel in Edgemont, South Dakota.

ARC Hospitality completes financing: American Realty Capital Hospitality Trust completed a new term loan facility with Deutsche Bank AG New York Branch and Deutsche Bank Securities, which will provide up to US$450 million in financing for the company’s acquisitions of several hotel portfolios.
