What’s Hot: Disney hotel unveils room redesign

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Florida, has completed the redesign of every guestroom in the 758-room Swan Hotel. The redesign is part of a multi-phase, multi-year, US$125 million redesign project that will transform every guestroom in Swan and Dolphin buildings. The first phase of the 1,509-room Dolphin will begin later in 2015.

The new guestroom concept is inspired by the resort’s water-themed architecture and aims to provide its guests with a serene and sophisticated atmosphere.

Guestrooms feature new, upgraded furniture and technology upgrades, including large HD televisions and additional power outlets. A glass-topped desk on wheels provides guests with a flexible tabletop space. Guest bathrooms include residential-style vanities and a backlit mirror on iridescent glass tiles.

“This new room product provides our guests with their own personal oasis,” said General Manager Fred Sawyers. “Whether visiting for business or leisure, it’s the ideal space to relax and reenergize.”

The entire rooms project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.
