Hot Opening: Upplandsgatan welcomes digitally inspired hotel

In 2014, HTL hotels introduced a “digital travel experience” in Stockholm, focused on high quality and personalized service. This month, HTL opened its second hotel in the Swedish capital, in Upplandsgatan, targeted for the modern and conscious traveler.

Prior to arrival, guests can choose if they want to check in on the way to the hotel to get their key directly on their smartphones, or check in on one of the hotel’s tablets. HTL’s key app includes hotel information and a city guide.

The lounge at HTL Upplandgatan was designed to be a new meeting point in Stockholm, offering an abundance of power outlets and free Wi-Fi. The lounge is also open 24/7, along with the hotel’s mini-store that offers a variety of beverages, sandwiches, soups and salads. Breakfast is served in the lounge during morning hours, and lighter meals and beverages are available during the remainder of the day.

The hotels 124 guestrooms feature HTL’s “smart details,” including under-bed storage, several USB ports and the ability to connect a smart device to the room’s LEF television. All guest bathrooms include a raindrop shower.
