Element Hotels kicks off Walk the World

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide’s Element Hotels brand has launched Walk the World, Powered by Fitbit, a virtual program that encourages travelers to maintain healthy lifestyles while on the road.

Travelers can join the Walk the World group free of charge via Fitbit’s app or website, and users can log their steps while traveling, use the Fitbit activity tracker, and use MobileTrack on Android, iOS or Windows mobile devices. The goal of the virtual walk is to amass 29 million steps from travelers worldwide.

Additionally, travelers who join the Walk the World group are automatically entered to win prizes at key virtual milestones during the walk. Prizes include Fitbit Flex, Fitbit Charge HR or Fitbit Surge activity and sleep trackers, and Starwood Preferred Guest Starpoints, good for hotel stays at any of Starwood’s eleven brands.
