Hot Openings: Four Seasons debuts in Bogotá

Opening to guests this month, Four Seasons Hotel Casa Media Bogotá marks the luxury brand’s entry into the Colombian capital. Originally built in 1946, Casa Medina was designed by artist and architect Santiago Medina Mejia. The original French- and Spanish-influenced design incorporated stone columns, wood flooring and hand-carved wooden doors, and the building was originally intended to be used for apartments.

Since 1988, the property was home to Hotel Casa Medina Bogota until its redesign by Rottet Studio this year.

The property’s all-new dining concept, Castanyoles Raciones y Tapas, features a wood-burning grill and Spanish tiles as well as a broad terrace beneath a new glass atrium outside. Castanyoles serves a Spanish-influenced menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails, as well as offer gourmet items and Colombian coffee to go.

Additional hotel amenities include a spa, meeting space and 24-hour fitness center.
