NYC hotel unveils light sculpture for cancer awareness

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Peninsula New York is presenting Pink Lotus, a large-scale light installation sculpture by Peruvian artist Grimanesa Amorós, through November 15. The installation, exclusively curated for The Peninsula New York by Circa 1881, is part of “The Art of Pink” charitable program, with Peninsula hotels around the world partnering with artists to help raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

Amorós used LED lights to create a pink lotus flower, symbolizing creation, enlightenment and rebirth. Limited edition pink lotus tote bags designed by Amorós are also available for purchase.

The Pink Lotus light installation will be on display at the Peninsula New York through October.
