Hotel Modera in Portland, Oregon, recently unveiled The Colosseum, a new vibrant and creative meeting space at the eclectic property. Designed by Dawson Design Associates, The Colosseum is intended to be artistic and playful, featuring concrete floors, graffiti art and open truss ceilings.
The Colosseum includes a pool table, shuffleboard, full size Connect-4, and vertical corn hole. The space can be partially cleared to accommodate groups of up to 100 guests. Rental and catering for The Colosseum is handled by Nel Centro, Hotel Modera’s on-site restaurant and caterer.
“We always strive to find ways to fuse work and play, looking to innovative approaches that create unique and often, unexpected hotel experiences,” said Andrea Dawson Sheehan, Dawson Design’s CEO and art director. “The new new game room, formerly an average, uninspiring meeting room, now gives the hotel a hip and stylish urban venue for corporate meetings and team building events.”
“The Colosseum is unlike any other meeting space in downtown and we are excited for the creative opportunity this new event space will provide meeting and event planners in the city and beyond,” added Greg Danielson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hotel Modera.
