Minor expands in Australia: Minor Hotel Group will develop the first Avani hotel in Queensland, Australia. Avani Broadbeach Residences is scheduled to open in 2017 and is being developed by Anthony Moreton Group and Pryde Group.

Choice to debut Cambria in Louisiana: Choice Hotels International will debut its Cambria brand in Louisiana in 2017. Cambria Hotel & Suites New Orleans will feature 162-guestrooms, an on-site bistro, business center and meeting rooms.
Starwood adds second hotel in Adelaide: Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will debut its Sheraton brand in South Australia with the recent signing of the Sheraton Adelaide. Slated to open in 2019, the 160-room hotel will be Starwood’s second hotel in Adelaide.
Kindred adds four properties: Kindred Resorts & Hotels added four properties to its North American portfolio: the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia; Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island; Purity Spring Resort in Madison, New Hampshire; and Trade Winds Islands Resorts in St. Pete Beach, Florida.
