Hot Openings: Hotel Indigo adds flagship in NYC

This month, IHG opened its third Hotel Indigo-branded hotel in New York City. The 293-room flagship Hotel Indigo Lower East Side New York is a joint venture between IHG and BCRE and sits in the heart of a neighborhood rich with art and culture.

When guests first arrive, they proceed through the ground floor entryway up to the 14th floor lobby which offers unobstructed city views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The terrace located on the west side of the 15th floor features its own swimming pool, bar and a variety of seating options.

To reflect the eclectic location, the hotel commissioned street artist Lee Quinones to create a custom life-sized mural on the lobby ceiling and unique wall art within guestrooms and elevator lobbies. Quinones’ work vividly brings the storied past and present of the Lower East Side to life.

Starting on the 5th floor, guestrooms feature unobstructed views of midtown Manhattan and the downtown skyline; plush bedding, hard-surface flooring with area rugs, and spa-inspired bathrooms with locally sourced C.O. Bigelow apothecary amenities. The hotel also offers four spacious luxury suites and one duplex penthouse.

In partnership with the Gerber Group, the Hotel Indigo Lower East Side New York features Mr. Purple, a rooftop bar and restaurant resembling an artist’s loft. Along with an expansive food section, the cocktail, beer and wine menu features unique small-batch spirits, regionally brewed craft beers, universal wine offerings and a rotating selection of Gerber Group’s classic and modern cocktails that highlight market fresh ingredients.

Guests also have access to a 24-hour fitness center and meeting space, which includes a private outdoor area.
