In partnership with wood sommelier Ted Whitehead (also known as “The Woodman”), Royalton New York has introduced a guestroom artisanal fireplace and menu pairing program. Guests can choose between five wood types and a menu of small plates and craft cocktails to complement each scent.
Royalton’s five distinct fireplace sachets are packaged in fireplace-ready, hand-silk-screened sacks and are placed on top of existing logs to offer a spectrum of aromas from delicate to distinct.
“The desire to have a wood burning fireplace ranks among the highest, especially for city dwellers,” said Josh Fluhr, chief operating officer at Morgans Hotel Group. “The reality is that these are very few and far between in Manhattan and in many homes. We also realized that stockpiling craft wood was not always a possibility, so we devised the fireplace sachet to add a sensual edge to any fire setting – lovely, convenient and perfect for a cultural experience within any home.”
The package is available now through March 31, 2016.
