Dusit signs in Jiangyin City: Dusit Fudu Hotels and Resorts, the Shanghai-based hospitality management arm of Dusit International, signed a second management agreement with Jiangsu Huaqiang Real Estate Development Company Limited to manage a 400-room Dusit Princess Hotel and Residence in Jiangyin City, Jiangsu Province of China. The property is expected to open in late 2016.

Hilton Eugene sold: The 269-room Hilton Eugene hotel in Oregon sold for US$44.25 million to Rockbridge Capital. The sale price makes the deal the second largest property sale in Eugene this year.

Marriott announces cyber sale: Marriott International will offer a limited-time cyber sale from Friday, November 27 through Monday, November 30 that includes up to 25% off rates on stays occurring between December 11, 2015 and January 17, 2016. All reservations must be booked direct.

 


Marriott-Starwood room supply: The newly merged Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will have a combined 4,269 hotel properties within the U.S. containing over 732,000 rooms by year’s end 2016, according to the Hotel Market Data (HMD) Index. The HMD Index also indicates that Marriott currently operates 13.3% of the total room supply in the U.S. and after the merger with Starwood, the combined firms will operate a projected 17.7% of the total room supply in the U.S. by the end of Q4 2016.

 


Red Lion to build in Texas: Red Lion Hotels Corp. signed a franchise license agreement with Texas developer Bob Yazdani to build a new Hotel RL. Set to open in the first half of 2017, the Hotel RL College Station will be managed by Metro Mgt. LLC.

AgriEuro plans large all-inclusive: AgriEuro Corp. will build an all-inclusive resort with a capacity of 620 accommodations in Romania. Once completed, the property will be the largest resort on the Black Sea.

Fibra to develop two hotels: FibraHotel has announced the development of two hotels in the Via 515 mixed-use project in Mexico City. The hotels will be a Fiesta Inn Lofts with 108 extended stay rooms and a Fiesta Inn with 178 select-service rooms, both operated by Grupo Posadas. The project is in the permits and license stage with an estimated opening by the end of 2017.
