Marriott announces ‘MxM’ to maximize hotel performance for owners

Marriott International today announced “Managed by Marriott (MxM),” the new name and branded approach for the company’s hotel management organization. MxM has one goal: To maximize the financial performance of their owner’s hotel through the three guiding principles of performance, people and partnership.

“Managed by Marriott works in partnership with owners to help meet their business goals, using the expertise and resources we’ve developed as a world-class hotel management company,” said Dave Grissen, group president at Marriott. “Our management organization has a new name, but our primary mission remains the same – to continue to maximize financial performance for our owners.

MxM is North America’s largest hotel management organization, operating nearly 700 hotels in the U.S. and Canada. In a 2015 owner survey, three out of four owners said they would consider Marriott to operate their next hotel.

“Our long-standing relationship with Managed by Marriott is built on a common goal to maximize the value of our Marriott branded assets,” said Minaz Abji, executive vice president of asset management at Host Hotels and Resorts. “They continue to innovate and focus on driving the best possible NOI for our hotels.”
