St. Regis in Jakarta: Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide signed a management agreement with Indonesia’s Rajawali Property Group to open 280-room The St. Regis Jakarta and The Residences at The St. Regis Jakarta. Both are slated to open in 2019.
TripAdvisor expands: Travel site TripAdvisor expanded its hotel booking to nine English-speaking countries including Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and South Africa.
Cornell integrates biz schools: Cornell University announced that it is establishing an integrated College of Business in the 2016-17 school year that will include the School of Hotel Administration, the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management and the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Four Seasons coming to Napa: Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts announced plans to develop a resort in Napa Valley’s Calistoga with Alcion Ventures and Bald Mountain Development. The 85-room hotel is slated to open in 2018; some wine will be produced on-site.
Red Lion in Long Island: Red Lion Hotels Corp. announced its third new-build Hotel RL in Long Island City, New York. The 171-guestroom hotel, scheduled to open in 2019, will is the eighth location overall for the brand. The company also announced a franchise agreement for locations in College Station, Texas, and St. Louis.
Swiss-Belhotel completes buy: Swiss-Belhotel International completed its purchase of the 78-room Swiss-Belresort Coronet Peak in Queenstown, New Zealand. It’s the first real estate acquisition of the hotel management. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Seeing Red in Saudi Arabia: Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced plans to bring a 280-room Radisson Red Makarunah, in 2018, and an 84-room Park Inn by Radisson Madinah Road, in 2017, to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Rezidor has 29 hotels in Saudi Arabia totaling 5,600 rooms.
