Marriott Rewards rolls out new benefits

Marriott International launched three additional benefits of its Marriott Rewards program:

Experiences marketplace

The experiences marketplace is a collection of curated experiences for Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards members. Available globally in late May, experiences include tickets to Broadway shows in New York City, wine tastings with a notable sommelier, private cooking classes with a world-class chef and tickets to sporting events. In order to “purchase” an experience, members redeem rewards points.

Elite concierge service

Elite concierge offers dedicated and tailored service for Elite members of Marriott Rewards. The concierge is charged with developing relationships with members in order to anticipate the needs of members and strive to meet expectations before, during and after members’ stays. Launching in late May, the concierge will be able to reserve on-property amenities such as restaurants, spa treatments and golf.

Guaranteed late checkout

Available to Gold and Platinum Elite members of Marriott Rewards and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards, guaranteed late checkout is stretched to as late as 4 p.m. Available in mid-May, members can request late checkout when making a reservation by phone, when checking in using the Marriott Mobile app or upon arrival at the hotel.

“We’re evolving how we engage with, recognize, and reward our loyal guests,” said Thom Kozik, vice president of loyalty at Marriott. “Loyalty is not just about our members choosing to stay with us. We want to make their travel more seamless and personalized, and we also want to deliver memorable experiences that go beyond the stay. Giving our members even more flexibility, freedom, and opportunity to enjoy what they love most about travel—and life—is one of the best ways we can show our loyalty to them.”
