Set to open in 2018, the Ritz-Carlton Reserve will debut in Bermuda. Designed by SB Architects and HBA, resort will operate under a long-term management agreement with George’s Bay Hotel Ltd. and George’s Bay Residences Ltd.
The resort is described as the opposite of a grand hotel and is rather a completely authentic, local experience. The resort was designed as a village, with a collection of residential-scale structures clustered together along the shore of George’s Bay.
Guest bungalows are set directly along the water’s edge and include outdoor showers and plunge pools.
“We have watched Bermuda as a destination closely for many years and believe the timing has never been better to introduce what will be a one of a kind, luxury experience to the island,” said Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer of The Ritz-Carlton.
