Designed by Jonathan Nehmer + Associates (JN+A) and HVS Design, the Crown Plaza Dulles Airport Hotel in Herndon, Virginia, recently unveiled its six-month, multi-million dollar renovation. The project encompasses the hotel’s lobby, meeting areas, club-lounge, corridors, and 327 guestrooms and suites.
The lobby features a two-story intricate millwork sculpture, textured wood, a floating marble front desk, a lounge with a two-sided stone fireplace, and a new 24-hour café. Throughout the hotel, mixed materials, stone, glass, metal and wood create strong, simple lines that aim to create a bold statement.
In addition to the completed work, the hotel’s fitness center is in the process of being expanded and will feature the brand’s new modern prototypical design.
