Luggage to match that luxury hotel stay

The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts is teaming up with British luxury luggage brand Globe-Trotter to transport travelers to the Greek Islands, at least when they open their luggage.

Globe-Trotter’s designer and creative director Sofia Sanchez de Betak designed a collection of luggage inspired by her summer vacation in Greece – at Luxury Collection hotels, of course – in Mykonos, Costa Navarino, Athens and Santorini.

“For me, traveling is a treasure hunt—I love exploring new places and creating my own memorable experiences,” Sanchez de Betak said. “For the design of this luggage collection, I wanted to create a scavenger hunt map inspired by my trip to Greece for fellow travelers to follow. A combination of insider tips from The Luxury Collection concierges and personal recommendations from locals and experts allowed me to curate the ‘must sees’ on my maps for global explorers to find!”

The interior of each piece is lined with cotton linen and features an illustrated scavenger map of the destination of which it was inspired. The limited edition pieces are offered only at the Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ group’s website and through Globe-Trotter’s website and London boutique.

Travelers concerned about risking a ding on the cases, which retail for US $2,005, should have no fear: The luggage, which measures 22 by 15 by 8 inches (56 by 35 by 22 cm), is small enough to carry on board to their first-class airline seats.
