Holiday Inns in Peru: InterContinental Hotels Group signed two new-build Holiday Inn Expresses in Peru that are expected to open in 2019. Both the Holiday Inn Express Lima San Isidro and the Holiday Inn Express Piura will be developed through a joint venture with Grupo Centenario and Grupo Agrisal.

Economy growth in London: More than half of the 18,000 hotel rooms opened in London since the city hosted 2012 Olympics were in the budget sector, according to a study by JLL and London & Partners, along with 33% of the 7,000 rooms that will be available this year.

AC in OK: NewcrestImage of Texas plans to build an AC Hotel in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The 142-room hotel is scheduled to be open in June 2017.

 


Fenway revamp: The Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, Florida, will undergo a US$11 million renovation and reopen as a boutique hotel in early 2017 by owner Taoist Tai Chi Society of the USA, which will also use the space as a national headquarters. The hotel will be branded under Marriott International’s Autograph Collection.
