Westgate adds Wakulla: Westgate Resorts acquired the Wakulla Suites in Cocoa Beach, Fla. The 120-room resort will remain open during renovations andoperate as a hotel and vacation ownership resort.

 


Hyatt in Midtown: Hyatt Hotels Corp. has put a building in Midtown, Tennessee, under contract and is considering introducing one of its select service brands to the Nashville-area town.

Blackstone selling: Blackstone Group LP plans to sell hotel buildings operated under the DoubleTree brand in London, Dublin and Amsterdam for about €980 million (US$1.1 billion), according to Bloomberg, including the DoubleTree by Hilton at the Tower of London, valued at about £350 million (US$510 million).
