Oetker teams up with Vongerichten: Oetker Collection announced a partnership with Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten at Palácio Tangará in São Paulo, Brazil. The property is set to open in spring 2017.
PPHE refinances in London, Netherlands: PPHE Hotel Group Limited entered into an agreement to refinance its interests in two of its London hotels, Park Plaza Sherlock Holmes and Park Plaza Riverbank; and six of its Dutch hotels, Art’otel Amsterdam, Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam, Park Plaza Vondelpark, Amsterdam, Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport, Park Plaza Eindhoven and Park Plaza Utrecht.
Rezidor signs in Saudi Arabia: Rezidor will open two hotels in Dammam, Saudi Arabia: Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Residence Dammam Industrial City and the Radisson Blu Hotel Dammam Al Faisaliyah. Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Residence Dammam Industrial City will include 300 rooms and open later this year while Radisson Blu Hotel Dammam Al Faisaliyah will include 260 rooms and open in 2018.

Positive relationships at work: According to a recent roundtable at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, positive relationships at work are important to success in the hospitality and service industries. The roundtable set forth several goals: provide and receive developmental feedback on research in progress related to positive relationships at work, build connections with others who share interests in positive relationships at work, and foster a sustainable community of scholars interested in positive relationships at work.

Sbe announces culinary partners: Sbe has partnered with José Andrés and Michael Schwartz to unveil two new culinary concepts for SLS Brickell Hotel & Residences in Miami. In conjunction with the property’s opening in October, Schwartz will launch his first Italian concept Fi’lia and Andrés will present Bazaar as well as oversee food and beverage for in-room dining, mezzanine and pool bar.
