Hot Openings: ‘Not your grandfather’s Hilton’ in Cleveland

In time for the Republican National Convention, the Hilton Cleveland Downtown recently opened steps away from the GOP’s stage at Quicken Loans Arena. Designed by architecture firms Cooper Carry and VOA Associates and interior design firm Andersen-Miller, the 32-story hotel is described as “not your grandfather’s Hilton” with its sleek and contemporary design.

Hilton Cleveland Downtown features 600 guestrooms, including 37 suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows offering skyline and Lake Erie views, in addition to murals of famous Cleveland sights. Built-in desks and cabinetry also provide guests with useful workspace.

On-site food and beverage was also a priority when designing the hotel. Bar 32 is a rooftop bar offering craft drinks, a raw bar, and domestic and imported cheeses; Eliot’s Bar serves coffee by day and cocktails by night; Noshery is a grab-and-go option in the lobby serving a variety of options such as breakfast sandwiches, yogurt parfaits and salads; and the Burnham Restaurant serves seafood, Cajun-creole fusion and the “feel-good warmth of the Midwest.”

Additional amenities include a business center, more than 50,000 square feet (4,645.2 square meters) of meeting space, an indoor pool and a fitness center.
