Fairmont lets you vote with your drink

The Fairmont Washington, D.C. Georgetown recently launched an unofficial “Presidential Cocktail Poll.” The hotel’s Lobby Bar is offering a choice of two cocktails, The Democrat and The Republican, to predict the results of the 2016 presidential election.

Both cocktails start with St. Germain and prosecco, but the Democrat gets a blue tinge from curacao while the Republican gets a pinkish-red coloring from Chambord. Both cocktails come with party-affiliated swizzle sticks.

The votes, number of blue and red cocktails sold, will be tallied weekly and posted in the lobby and on social media.
