What’s Hot: Kimpton Ink48 unveils ‘design-driven’ reno

Kimpton Ink48 Hotel in New York City recently unveiled an “extensive and design-driven renovation” of its guestrooms, suites and lobby. Designed by Anna Busta of Busta Sttudio, the renovation is meant to reflect the evolution of the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and draws inspiration from the hotel’s origins as a printing house.

The new lobby serves as a multi-functional and communal space for the hotel’s community. Furnishings include vintage leather chairs, a concrete coffee table and a handmade bookcase.

Guestrooms have been transformed into a lofty residential-like space and include causal workspaces with a lined oak bistro table and woven, black and steel armchair, as well as an overhead lamp with shipyard-inspired pulleys, a nod to the nearby Hudson River piers. Spacious and light-filled rooms feature neutral color palettes with pops of color. Artwork was also commissioned by local artist Kaitlin Rebesco adorns the walls and includes collage photography of New York City.

“At Kimpton Ink48 Hotel, we redefine the NYC experience and we’re thrilled to bring this new level of comfort, design and luxury to our guests through this re-imagination project,” said Linda Chin, city director of operations of Kimpton NYC and Kimpton Ink48’s general manager. “Every guest will feel transported to their own stylish, Manhattan apartment with a new residential-style design, high-end amenities and unrivaled, personalized service.”
