What’s Hot: W Seattle completes city-inspired reno

W Seattle recently unveiled its US$18 million renovation. Inspired by the property’s Pacific Northwest location, owners Host Hotels & Resorts partnered with Krause + Sawyer along with the design team at W Hotels to reimagine the hotel.

All 415 guestrooms and nine suites have been updated to evoke a sense of the “ultimate urban lodge” that captures the spirit of Seattle. The color palette was inspired by the blue hues of the city with pops of purple, teal and yellow gold incorporated into a grey canvas inspired by the city’s “moody skies.” The focal point is described at the headboard Lodge Wall made with stacked wood beams backlit by LED lights.

W Seattle will also feature the first W Sound Suite in North America. The private music studio and writer’s room is designed for professional recording artists, studio musicians and hotel guests who are recording on the road.

“From the moment our guests enter our Living Room to the moment they head upstairs they will be struck with a design that exceeds expectations and connects them to the roots of what the Emerald City has to offer,” said Richard Hill, general manager at W Seattle.
