QT Sydney cocktails with a playful touch

Gilt Lounge at the hotel QT Sydney has unveiled a line-up of new cocktails with a playful “Aussie” touch. Made in Perlini shakers, poured from antique soda siphons and served in vintage crystal, the new menu’s offerings showcase a twist on beloved vintage cocktails.

Combining bold flavors and quirky visual flair, three of the new signature concoctions are The Weis Daiquiri, The Gilligan and The Natural Hipster.

For an Australian take on the standard tropical daiquiri, Gilt Lounge’s mixologists have comically adapted the recipe to incorporate a national favorite, Weis’ mango sorbet. The Gilligan is a reinvention of a classic rum punch, offering a blend of Absolute Elyx vodka infused with pineapple, El Dorado Spiced Rum and Pernod Absinth – all served in a copper pineapple with pellets of dry ice and smoke for a theatrical drinking experience.

In a unique twist of social satire and refreshing cocktail, the Natural Hipster is a healthy take on the margarita, blending spirulina, aloe vera juice and Earl Grey infused with Cazadores Blanco Tequila, garnished with a sprig of parsley.

QT Hotels Creative Food Director Robert Marchetti has crafted an edgy food menu for the bar. The local favorite? The ‘Greats Balls of Food’ series, offering a selection of panko-crusted octopus balls, spinach and cheese rice balls and Spanish jamón potato balls.
