Omni’s early returns from alt direct booking program

After two months, Omni Hotels & Resorts’ alternative to discounting for direct bookings, its Say Goodnight to Hunger campaign, is showing early signs of success with more than three million meals donated to help feed Americans.

For every stay booked directly at Omni’s website, the company makes a donation to help provide a family of four dinner for a week. More than 40 Omni properties are actively participating in program that serves their local markets and 900-plus associates have volunteered almost 2,500 hours of their time.

At the same time, while not directly tied to the campaign, bookings on OmniHotels.com are up 24% over last year and direct traffic to the site is up 15% year to date.
