Hot Openings: Four Seasons arrives in downtown NYC

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts this week unveiled its second New York City property. Designed by Yabu Pushelberg, the new Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is located in the city’s Tribeca neighborhood, steps away from the World Trade Center.

“Downtown New York has been reborn as the most vibrant neighbourhood in city,” says Peter Humig, general manager Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown. “It’s no longer simply a business district. You can feel the energy the minute you arrive, and we are proud to be in the heart of it.”

The two-story lobby features travertine, soft wool carpeting, wood walls and woven metal screens. Brushed bronze accents as well as original artwork also add to the character of the public space.

The hotel’s 189 rooms and suites were designed with a color palette of light blue, grey and taupe. Marble guest bathrooms feature deep-soaking tubs and double vanities. The property offers an additional 157 private residences with a separate entrance, and range from one- to five-bedrooms.

Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is also home to Cut by Wolfgang Puck, the chef’s first Manhattan location. Additionally, a new room service concept has been designed by Executive Chef Shaun Acosta, featuring flexible menus and tableware pieces by local artisans.

Additional amenities include a spa, a fitness center, an indoor lap pool, and meeting and event space.
