AccorHotels launches millennial-focused Jo&Joe

AccorHotels has launched a new brand, Jo&Joe, aiming to blend “the best of private-rental, hotels and hotel formats.” The French hotel company aims to have 50 Jo&Joe properties by 2020 with locations including Paris and Bordeaux, France; as well as Warsaw, Poland; Budapest, Hungary; Rio de Janeiro; and São Paulo, Brazil.

The concept is designed to promote community living with several interactive spaces that include:

  • The Happy House, a private area where guests can cook, do laundry and other household tasks.
  • A modular sleeping areas called Together, featuring beds, private lockers and shared recreation areas and bathrooms.
  • Rooms and apartments for two to five guests, offering a private bathrooms and kitchen areas.
  • Out Of the Ordinary, known as OOO!, a communal seating area with yurts, hammocks and caravans.

“Jo&Joe represents the very essence of hospitality: welcoming, exciting and beyond our guests’ expectations,” said Sébastien Bazin, chairman and CEO of AccorHotels.

“More than just an accommodation solution, Joe&Joe has been conceived as an experience enhancer thanks notably to its offbeat design, innovative digital ecosystem and catering offerings,” added Frédéric Fontaine, senior vice president of AccorHotels’ Global Marketing Innovation Lab. “With its open house concept, the brand diversifies the customer journey by welcoming guests as well as locals, who treat Joe&Joe venues as an annex of their living room.”
